Apologies, yes - I remembered as I left work yesterday that I should've
send a closure mail to the list.

For anyone searching the records regarding Solaris support, I have a
working sipsak binary on Solaris 9 now.

Using the packaged GNU development tools provided on the Solaris
Software Companion CD, e.g. gcc 3.3.2, I compiled sipsak against:

openSSL 0.9.7i (compiled from source)
c-ares 1.3.0 (for optional SRV support and also compiled from source)

We discovered during this email chain both on and off the list that
RULI, the first library supported by sipsak for SRV lookups, will only
compile on Solaris, according to it's author, if the server was built
with IPv6 support. As my Solaris servers were not, this was a
showstopper for me.

Nils has been kind of enough to implement support for a new DNS
resolver, c-ares, which is more Solaris-friendly and does not insist on
IPv6 support.

Many thanks to him for that!

Peter.
